It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are suing the Comedy Central animated show for labeling them 'dumb' and stupid' in a recent episode.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have responded to reports that they are pursuing legal action against "South Park" creators over their portrayal in a recent episode of the animated series. In a statement, the royal couple's spokesperson has set the record straight.

When asked if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are suing the Comedy Central show, the spokesperson denied the reports. "It's all frankly nonsense. Totally baseless, boring reports," the rep said to PEOPLE.

Prior to this, it was said that Harry and Meghan were "upset and overwhelmed" by how "South Park" portrayed them in one of its episodes. According to The Spectator, the former "Suits" star "is annoyed by 'South Park' but refuses to watch it all."

Titled "The Worldwide Privacy Tour", the episode was released on Wednesday, February 15. While it didn't directly name the couple, it followed the "prince and princess of Canada" as they moved to a fictional Colorado town to get out of the press.

The characters bore a striking resemblance to the Sussexes. The prince was depicted as someone with ginger hair and beard, while the princess donned a pink outfit and hat, which was a close match to Meghan's ensemble at Trooping the Colour in 2018.

Throughout the episode, the couple could also be seen holding signs saying "we want out privacy" and "stop looking at us." Despite that, the pair drew attention to themselves as they hung up the banners outside their home and did some interviews. At one point, the show appeared to shade Prince Harry over his bombshell memoir "Spare".

The couple eventually moved to South Park in their quest for a normal life, infuriating locals including their new neighbor Kyle. He said, "They have this huge jet parked in front of my house and they keep on wanting me to buy their book."

He went on to rant, "It's seriously driving me crazy. I'm sick of hearing about them. But I can't get away from them, they're everywhere. In my f**king face." Stan replied, "Look, Kyle, we just kind of don't care about some dumb prince and his stupid wife."
