In an Instagram video, the 'America's Sweetheart' singer explains why she named her new record album 'Come Get Your Wife' while subtly dissing her fellow country singer in the process.

AceShowbiz - It's safe to say that Elle King isn't a fan of Chris Young. In an Instagram video, the "Ex's & Oh's" singer explained why she named her new record album "Come Get Your Wife" while subtly dissing her fellow country singer in the process.

"I'm so excited! My record 'Come Get Your Wife' is out today," she started the video. "The title of the record came because some famous a**hole tried to shout, 'Come get your wife!' And I was like, 'I'm not even married.' "

Elle went on to say that she managed to "kick his a** in the game" and she thought it'd be fun to make it the title of her new album. She also bragged about winning the game.

Elle most likely referred to the moment when she and Chris filmed Blake Shelton and Carson Daly's new show "Barmageddon" back in April 2022. On the USA Network game show, Elle and Chris participated in some wild bar games, including "air cannon cornhole," "keg curling" and "drunken axe hole."

It was fun and games until things got tense between the two as Elle started to win and talk smack. At one point, Chris allegedly said to Elle's fiance Dan Tooker, who was sitting among the audience, "Come get your wife!"

A source explained, "I can't hold my tongue about how that country singer Chris Young treated Elle King." The informant continued, "He talked down to her because she's a woman."

"I'm sure the network will cut it up to make him not look that bad, but once she started kicking his a** in the bar games and s**t talking like the guys were doing, he couldn't take it anymore. He was seeing red," the insider added. "He called her names and then even yelled over her head to a guy who was with her that he better 'Come get your wife' - what was he even gonna do? So stupid. The whole crew saw and heard it," the source added.

"Barmageddon" did cut the interaction as it was not included in the final broadcast, which aired last week.
