'Queen of the World' is set to air on U.K. network ITV in September.

AceShowbiz - Former actress Meghan Markle a.k.a. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is heading back to the small screen to feature in a new documentary series about Queen Elizabeth II.

The ex-Suits star turned her back on acting after becoming engaged to Britain's Prince Harry last November (17), but she has since taken part in an upcoming two-part show with her now-husband and her royal in-laws, exploring the relationship between the monarch and the Commonwealth.

A source tells People.com Meghan engages in "a conversation, a stand-up chat" for Queen of the World, which will air on U.K. network ITV in September.

ITV News' royal correspondent Chris Ship claims the American-born Duchess will discuss her early experiences with the Commonwealth, and share details about her wedding dress and veil, which was embroidered with flowers from each of the 53 member nations.

Prince Harry's brother, Prince William, and their father, Prince Charles, will also appear on camera, while Princess Anne and Prince Edward's wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, have reportedly filmed formal sit-down interviews for the show.

Producers have yet to confirm the specific content of the documentary, which was filmed over the course of a year, but have promised viewers it will include "behind-the-scenes moments with the Sovereign and other members of the Royal Family".

The statement continues: "As the family and world leaders discuss the importance of the Commonwealth to the Queen, the series will document the way in which she passes her knowledge and experience to the younger generations".

Queen of the World is expected to air before Meghan and Harry, who wed in May, embark on a royal tour of the Commonwealth in the coming weeks, when they will head to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.

The visit, their first official tour as newlyweds, will tie in with Harry's commitment to promoting his Invictus Games event in Sydney in late October.
