The TV personality goes makeup free and shows scar on her face after getting cancerous basal cell carcinoma removed from her nose.

AceShowbiz - Caitlyn Jenner is very candid on social media. Recently, she showed her bare face with some redness on the tip of her nose. The 68-year-old TV personality revealed that she had sun damage removed from her nose.
She posted a photo of her wearing a white cardigan. She was makeup free and there was a red spot on the tip of her nose. She captioned it, "I recently had to get some sun damage removed from my nose. PSA- always wear your sunblock!"
According to PEOPLE, the retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete had a cancerous basal cell carcinoma removed from her nose. It's a common form of skin cancer with 4 million cases diagnosed in the U.S. each year. It is usually treated with prescription creams or, in some cases, surgery.
As the cancer is not a new thing to occur in the U.S., Caitlyn is not the only celebrity who had basal cell carcinoma. In February 2014, Hugh Jackman posted a photo of him after getting basal cell carcinoma removed from his nose and urged his fans to wear sunscreen. He captioned it, "Another basal cell carcinoma. Thanks to frequent checks & amazing doctors, all's well. Looks worse w the dressing on then off! WEARSUNSCREEN."

In September, "The Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel, revealed that she planned to undergo surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma growth on her face. In the same month, Melanie Griffith reportedly underwent treatment to remove cancerous cell on her nose. Meanwhile, "The Real Housewives of Orange Country" star Tamra Judge admitted that she found a cancerous growth on her backside.
The Mayo Clinic says that a basal cell carcinoma "appears as a waxy bump" and tends to build up on skin that is "often exposed to the sun, such as your face and neck." The lesions often recur in the same spot. Though the lesions can be treated if they are detected early, the clinic urges people to wear sunscreen and get regular checkups if one experienced a basal cell carcinoma in the past.
