AceShowbiz - Dean McDermott's admiration for Tori Spelling remains despite their split. After catching wind of a negative comment from an online troll about his ex, the Canadian actor came to her defense by praising her for being "compassionate."
The 57-year-old had to deal with a critic after going Instagram official[u] with his new girlfriend Lily Calo. Tori liked the post, prompting one user to comment, "The fact that Tori liked this is mind-boggling!"
In response, Dean wrote, "It's because she is a highly evolved and compassionate loving person, which is a lot more [than] I can say for the trolls commenting on this post." He added, "Tori has a boyfriend. People get divorced and are better apart [than they are] together. That's life. I'll pray for happiness for all the haters."
Tori has maintained a good relationship with Dean and his girlfriend Lily. The actress herself has also revealed that she enjoys Lili''s company during family dinners. "I like Lily a lot. It's not bad. It's just, you know, it's different," she said in an episode of her "misSPELLING" podcast.
Dean requested the dissolution of his marriage on May 13, citing irreconcilable differences. He also requested joint physical and legal custody of their five children, while Tori has requested sole physical custody.
Additionally, Dean is seeking spousal support for himself, while the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum has requested the termination of spousal support for him.
Meanwhile, Tori has also been seen with a new significant other, Ryan Cramer, the CEO of the Santa Monica-based agency Neuron Syndicate Inc.
