Kim, who played Dr. Teddy Altman, is set to return to the series following the shocking revelation about Owen's presumed-dead sister Megan.

AceShowbiz - An old favorite on "Grey's Anatomy" is making a return for the upcoming season 14. Kim Raver, who used to be a series regular, has booked a return arc on the Shondaland medical drama.

Kim will once again play Dr. Teddy Altman, the former head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Kim's character was last seen in season 8 finale, when she was dramatically fired from the hospital by old friend and one-time crush Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). Owen fired her so that she would pursue her dream job as chief with Army Medical Command.

Teddy's name had been name-checked in the final weeks of season 13 following the shocking revelation that Owen's presumed-dead sister Megan was actually alive. As Owen found himself struggling to accept the news, Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) suggested that Teddy had seen Megan and recognized her.

Besides "Grey's Anatomy", Kim's credits include FOX's "A.P.B.", "Bones" and "24: Live Another Day". She will next be seen playing a recurring role in the upcoming season 5 of "Ray Donovan".

"Grey's Anatomy" returns for season 14 this fall on ABC.
