Here's Why 'Bachelor in Paradise' Producers Didn't Stop Corinne and DeMario's Sexual Encounter

Fellow contestant Jasmine Goode slams Corinne for playing victim, saying, 'Not once did she complain or say she was upset with what happened in the pool with DeMario.'

AceShowbiz - "Bachelor in Paradise" producers are not responsible for what happened between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson in the pool. While Corinne reportedly blamed the producers for not pulling the plug and protecting her during the alleged sexual "misconduct," she may not be able to sue them.

According to TMZ, the contestants of the show signed a contract which says that they waive their right to sue producers over claims of "negligence, personal injury (including without limitation, any injuries arising out of the transmission of a sexually transmitted disease or unwelcome/unlawful contact or other interaction among participants)."

In other words, Corinne should have protected herself better than she expected the producers did. But the site notes that the clause would not be enforceable if the producers were reckless. And if the rumors be true, the producers seemed to be reckless to watch it happen while Corinne was incapable of giving consent to sexual activity.

However, a contradicting report has said that Corinne seemed lucid and fully engaged during the naked pool session with DeMarion. Fellow contestant Jasmine Goode tells Daily Mail, "I was taken back with Corinne's statement that she's the victim. That may be the role she plays on the show, but it's a role. I don't believe she was a victim or traumatized. The statement she released doesn't even sound like her. It sounds like someone wrote it for her."

She claims that Corinne didn't complain about what happened in the pool, and was still having a good time with DeMario the day after. "I honestly thought they were going to become a couple," Jasmine adds. "She never, ever said one thing negative about DeMario. And she was never in danger, at least I never witnessed anything bad happening to her."

Jasmine additionally says that she would've stepped in if she thought Corinne was in danger. "As a woman, I would have been the first person to step in if I thought she was being taken advantage of in the pool with DeMario. She even said hi to me when I walked by them," she says. "I feel bad for DeMario. He's a good guy. He's sweet and not aggressive one bit. I am sad and disappointed this has happened. We are all shocked."

Meanwhile, Corinne's attorney Marty Singer insists that "if nothing inappropriate happened, why did production get shut down? Something serious clearly happened."
