Special counsel Robert Mueller is reportedly investigating alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

AceShowbiz - President Donald Trump is being investigated for possible obstruction of justice. The Washington Post reported on Wednesday, June 14 that special counsel Robert Mueller's investigating alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

Citing unidentified officials, the publication said that director of national intelligence Dan Coats, head of the National Security Agency Mike Rogers and former deputy director at the NSA Richard Ledgett had agreed to be interviewed by Mueller's investigators as early as this week.

According to people with knowledge on the matter, the obstruction of justice investigation into Trump began days after the firing of FBI Director James Comey on May 9. Comey told Congress last week that he believed he was fired by Trump to undermine the agency's Russia probe.

Trump's legal team quickly denounced the report. Mark Corallo, a spokesman for Trump's personal attorney Marc Kasowitz, said, "The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal." A spokesman for Mueller's team, meanwhile, declined to comment.
