AceShowbiz - Apparently, we don't have to wait until the fall to find out whom Barry Allen will be fighting against once he escapes from the Speed Force prison. Yes, "The Flash" season 4 major villain has allegedly been revealed!
Sources tell TVLine that Clifford DeVoe a.k.a. The Thinker will be the Big Bad of the season. In DC Comics lore, DeVoe is a tech-enhanced villain, utilizing a number of high-tech gadgets along with a group of cronies.
DeVoe's introduction has been hinted several times in season 3. In a March episode, Abra Kadabra, a metahuman from the future, told Barry, "There's Thawne, Zoom, DeVoe... but none of them hurt you like Savitar." Later in the season finale, future Barry said while surveying S.T.A.R. Labs, "This is where we came up with the cerebral inhibitor... to use against DeVoe."
The CW has not confirmed the news, but should it be true, season 4 will mark the first time Barry will not square off with a speedster. Showrunner Andrew Kreisberg shared this info at PaleyFest in March as saying, "Next season we're not going to have a speedster [as the Big Bad.]"
