AceShowbiz - FOX has just released a new promo for its Marvel's mutants-related TV series, "The Gifted". The new TV spot features new footage in which the main characters are running for their lives.
The video sees Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind), her brother Andy (Percy Hynes White) and their parents going on the run from the government. They are being hunted after Andy accidentally unleashes his power at a school event, making them a target for Sentinel Services, a mutant testing center, ran by the government.
They are getting help from an underground movement during the running. The video features several other mutants, who are ready to help the new mutants escape the hostile government. Blink (Jamie Chung) can be seen unleashing her teleportation gift, which is given a full CGI treatment. Polaris (Emma Dumont) is also using her destructive gift to the fullest.
"The Gifted" tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Matt Nix writes the script while Bryan Singer directs the pilot. Nix and Singer also serve as executive producers alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. The cast includes Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Coby Bell, Sean Teale and Blair Redford.
"The Gifted" will air Mondays at 9 P.M. on FOX beginning in the fall.
