Ariana's mother Joan Grande, who was still sitting in her front row seat when the bomb went off, helped escort some of the panicked concertgoers backstage.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande's mother helped keep several concertgoers safe after a bomb went off outside Manchester Arena, where her daughter had just performed. Joan Grande was still sitting in her front row seat and was getting ready to head backstage when they heard the explosion, TMZ reports.

Witnesses tell the site that Joan told a group of kids, who were seated around her, to come backstage during the chaos. She and Ariana's security escorted a group of about 10 young fans backstage and waited with them until it was safe for them to exit the venue.

Ariana posted on Twitter after the bomb hit her concert on Monday night, May 22, "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words." She has suspended her world tour in the wake of the incident that killed 22 people and injured 59 others.

The 23-year-old actress/singer has returned to the U.S. and was spotted landing in Boca Raton, Florida on Tuesday afternoon. She looked somber as she exited the private jet and was greeted by her boyfriend Mac Miller.
