The daytime talk show host teases a new co-host for 'Live! with Kelly and Michael' which will be announced in the upcoming Monday, May 1st episode.

AceShowbiz - After Michael Strahan's messy exit last year, Kelly Ripa has been the only permanent host on her Syndicated "Live! with Kelly and Michael". However, on Sunday, April 30, the host took to Twitter to tease a Monday announcement of the show's new co-host.

The host brought the announcement via a short clip of herself sipping coffee from an extra-large coffee mug. The mug was emblazoned with "Live with Kelly & ?" She said in the clip, "Tune in tomorrow, trust me." She wrote in the caption, "We're going to need a bigger mug. #TuneInToLive #BigAnnouncement #LiveKellyCohost"

Kelly has been searching for a new co-host, following Michael's departure from the show to become a permanent anchor on ABC's "Good Morning America". The news surprised Kelly and made her livid at her bosses. She later sat out "Live!" for four weekdays before eventually addressed the issue with viewers live on air on April 26, 2016.

Of co-host search, Kelly said on Andy Cohen's show "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" last December, "We really didn't set a time frame for ourselves." She continued, "We just wanted to wait until we found the right person."

A slew of celebrities have joined Kelly on the daytime talk series, including Jerry O'Connell and Fred Savage. Other repeating guest hosts also included Jimmy Kimmel, Andy and Anderson Cooper.

The new co-host of "Live!" most likely won't be among the aforementioned names, since sources reported that Kelly's new A.M. partner would not be any of her most frequent guest hosts.
