AceShowbiz - Adele wasn't in her hometown of London when a terror attack happened in the city. During her concert in Auckland, New Zealand, the singer paid tribute to the victims by delivering an emotional rendition of "Make You Feel My Love" in front of over 45,000 people.

"Today there was a terror attack in my hometown of London," the "When We Were Young" hitmaker told the audience. "I'm literally on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us," the soulful singer added.

The "Skyfall" singer went on saying, "It's very strange not being home, all I want to do today is be at home with my friends and family." She shared, "Everyone's fine, but there are four people [victims of the attack at the time] who aren't fine so let's dedicate this to them tonight."

The "Someone Like You" songstress wasn't the only British celebrity who paid a moving tribute to the victims of the attack. James Corden has also expressed his heartbreak during "The Late Late Show with James Corden" hours after the attack.

"It was funny watching the news today I felt a really long, long way from home," Corden said. "It's funny, when something happens in your hometown, you don't have a feeling of being glad that you're so far away." He added, "What you feel is that you wish you could be there with loved ones to stand alongside them."

The attack happened near the Parliament building in Westminster area. Five people were confirmed dead while 40 people were injured. The suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Khalid Masood, who was also killed in the incident.
