Jacqueline Obradors has been tapped to play Pardo's on-screen mother in the 'Sons of Anarchy' spin-off pilot.

AceShowbiz - "Mayans MC" has found its matriarch of the Reyes family in Jacqueline Obradors. The "NYPD Blue" alum will star opposite JD Pardo in the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off pilot, which will be directed by Kurt Sutter.

Obradors will portray Marisol Reyes, the soulful matriarch of the Reyes family and EZ's (Pardo) mother. Marisol is someone who has a vibrant righteous sense of justice, Deadline reports. As for the Reyes family's patriarch and Marisol's husband, Felipe Reyes, the role will be played by veteran actor Edward James Olmos.

Obradors is known for her role as Detective Rita Ortiz on ABC's "NYPD Blue". She also starred on "Bad Asses 2". Most recently, she did an arc on TV Land's comedy series "Lopez".

"Mayans MC" is set after the death of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) in the finale of "SOA" in 2014. The spin-off will revolve around EZ Reyes (Pardo), a prospect in the Mayan MC charter on the California/Mexico border. EZ struggles with his vow of vengeance against cartel and his need for respect from the woman he loves.

Also starring in the pilot are Clayton Cardenas as EZ's older brother Angel Reyes, Sarah Bogler as EZ's childhood sweetheart Emily, John Ortiz as Esai "Taino" Osorio, president of Mayans MC for Santo Padre charter, and Antonio Jaramillo as Michael "Riz" Ariza, Mayans MC vice president.

"Mayans MC" is co-created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. Sutter also serves as executive producer while James co-executive produces for FOX 21 TV Studios and FX Prods. The pilot reportedly will begin filming this March.
