AceShowbiz - ABC has given early renewals for all three of Shondaland's Thursday night shows for 2017-2018 season. Ellen Pompeo-led drama "Grey's Anatomy" has been picked up for season 14 while "Scandal", toplined by Kerry Washington, will return for its season 7. "How to Get Away with Murder", starring Viola Davis, will be back next year with its season 4.

" 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Scandal' and 'How to Get Away with Murder' continue to keep viewers on the edge of their seats and wanting more," ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said in a statement. "I'm thrilled to bring back these shows and the OMG moments that come with them."

After the sixth season of "Scandal" was delayed due to Kerry's second pregnancy, the Shondaland trio returned on the channel on January 26 and led the ratings in the adults 18-49 demo, with "Grey's Anatomy" as the ABC's highest rated show in the all important demo.

Besides the three dramas, ABC has also given an early pick up for ninth season of "The Middle", a sitcom about a middle-class family who's facing daily struggles of home life, work and raising children.

"Grey's Anatomy", "Scandal" and "How to Get Away with Murder" air on Thursdays at 8 P.M., 9 P.M. and 10 P.M. respectively on ABC.
