The spin-off will focus on college life of Yara's Zoey, an attractive, popular, entitled, stylish and socially active member of the Johnson family.

AceShowbiz - ABC is considering a spin-off of its acclaimed family sitcom "Black-ish". It will focus on Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi), the oldest daughter of Andre "Dre" Johnson Sr. (Anthony Anderson) and Dr. Rainbow "Bow" Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross), as she heads to college.

Zoey is an attractive, popular, entitled, stylish and socially active member of the Johnson family. She is typically apathetic to any dealings with her family and is always treated as the world's most perfect teenager, despite her generally shallow personality.

The spin-off, however, is still in early stages and nothing has been officially ordered yet. The potential new show will be developed by "Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris. If it gets the green light, the spin-off will mark Barris' second pilot in the works this season after nabbing an early pilot order for another ABC comedy, "Libby & Malcolm", starring Felicity Huffman and Courtney B. Vance.

Meanwhile, "Black-ish", which now is in third season, has landed an Emmy nomination in best comedy series category. The series is executive produced by Barris, Jonathan Groff, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland, E. Brian Dobbins and Corey Nickerson.

"Black-ish" airs Wednesdays at 9:30 P.M. on ABC.
