Rayna and Deacon's wedding bliss is short-lived and newly-reconciled couple Scarlett and Gunnar are facing another tough times.

AceShowbiz - There will be no shortage of drama in the upcoming season 5 of "Nashville" if the trailer is any indication. Newlyweds Rayna and Deacon hit a rough patch when she decides to write their story while Scarlett and Gunnar get into a heated argument as Rayna urges them to release a new single.

The season begins with Rayna and Deacon facing a new normal with Maddie now back home and Highway 65 struggling financially. Meanwhile, the shocking news about Juliette creates a wave of emotions throughout Nashville and sets Rayna off on a journey of discovery.

The country-music drama show will return with 22 new episodes at its new home on CMT. The network picked it up after it got canned by ABC. CMT will air the first hour of the two-hour season premiere on December 15 and then broadcast the full two-hour premiere on January 5.

Hayden Panettiere is back as Juliette, Connie Britton as Rayna, Charles Esten as Deacon, Lennon Stella as Maddie, Clara Bowen as Scarlett, Sam Palladio as Gunnar, and Jonathan Jackson as Avery.
