AceShowbiz - Details surrounding Kanye West's hospitalization are revealed. Kanye's personal physician Dr. Michael Farzam says the "Famous" hitmaker tried to attack a staff member at the gym owned by his trainer Harley Pasternak in L.A. before he was taken to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation.
According to TMZ, Dr. Farzam is the one who called 911. The doctor said his patient's name was "Jim Jones, 39 years old, 5'8", 175 lbs ... suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration." The doctor warned the dispatcher that his patient was not violent but would become violent when police arrived to help him.
Kanye was later handcuffed to the stretcher because they were told someone was on a 5150 hold. Sources say there's an issue over whether the doctor actually placed the "Gold Digger" rapper on a 5150.
Rapper Jim Jones cracked himself up when TMZ asked how he felt when knowing that his name was used by Kanye's doctor as an alias. "It's definitely a funny thing to me," Jim said, before adding, "On the serious side, that's kind of f***ed up to me that you would use my name in such a crazy manner."
Kim Kardashian, who was in New York, rushed to Kanye's side on Monday, November 21. Her mom Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, meanwhile, jetted back to L.A. on Tuesday morning after attending the Angel Ball gala honoring Robert Kardashian.
Many celebrities including John Legend, Snoop Dogg and Marlon Wayans voiced their concerns following Kanye's hospitalization.
