AceShowbiz - Now you can imagine the first scene of "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life". The first page of the revival script has landed online via EW, previewing Rory's return to Stars Hollow as well as her reunion with her mother Lorelai.
As usual, the mother-daughter's conversation includes amusing jokes and remarks. "You should look drawn and blotchy. You should be singing 'I Dreamed a Dream' with a bad haircut while selling yourself to French dockworkers. Instead, you look perfect. Admit it. You've been Goop'd," Lorelai says to Rory who looks "gorgeous" after a seven-hour flight.
Lauren Graham comments on the jab at Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop, "I just felt like that's so quintessentially Amy and Lorelai. It was then that I was like, 'We're going to be okay.' "
To the site, Graham and Alexis Bledel reveal how they felt when they first read the script. "I didn't read the last episode for the longest time because I was scared," Graham shares. "I loved how everything was teed up in the first three and I, carrying the burden of everybody in my mind, was like, 'Oh God, what's going to happen?' And to me, it was deeply satisfying - and also it answered questions I didn't even think of. I thought, 'Oh how perfect, wow. I wouldn't even have wondered that.' "
Bledel recalls, "I read the first three in one sitting. I was on page 7 or 8 when I remembered: Of course, this is that inviting town where everything is so familiar. And I felt like I was enveloped back into that time and place; wherever it exists in people's imaginations, I was reminded of where it was in mine. It was so easy to just jump back in and get to work. Which is lucky - because I had to the next day."
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be released November 25 on Netflix. The four-part revival "will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year," beginning with "Winter". Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Danny Strong, Milo Ventimiglia, Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry are also returning for the revival.
