A month after the filming on 'Star Wars Episode VIII' wrapped, the 64-year-old actor chops off his iconic Jedi beard and hints at him making a return to the ninth 'Star Wars' film.

AceShowbiz - Mark Hamill debuted his bearded Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", and now the 64-year-old actor says goodbye to his Jedi beard. On Tuesday, August 30, Hamill took to Twitter to share a video which featured himself chopping off his gray sideburns, a month after the filming on "Star Wars Episode VIII" wrapped.

In the 36-second video, someone's hand could be seen utilizing the razor to shave his Jedi beard before a furry puppet hand towelled down his face. "Haven't seen my chin since May '15, so #FarewellFacialFur &#ByeByeBeard (at least til #EpisodeIX)," he wrote in the caption, hinting that this was only temporary and he would grow the beard again when making his return to "Star Wars Episode IX".
