The Emmy Award-winning actress wears an elaborate headpiece in the behind-the-scenes picture shared by co-showrunner Bryan Fuller.

AceShowbiz - Another god of "American Gods" is unveiled. Co-showrunner Bryan Fuller took to Twitter on Wednesday, August 24 to share the first picture of Kristin Chenoweth as the goddess Easter on the set of the Starz upcoming series.

The "Bewitched" star wore a flowery headpiece in the image. "#EASTER IN HER EASTER BONNET WITH ALL THE FRILLS UPON IT," Fuller, who previously worked with the Broadway actress on "Pushing Daisies", captioned it.

Easter is a peace-and-love free spirit who meets Shadow Moon in San Francisco and assists him when he's at a particularly low point. In Neil Gaiman's novel, the goddess struggles to find someone who can remember her origins.

Ricky Whittle stars as Shadow, an ex-con who becomes bodyguard for Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), a con man but in reality one of the older gods who travels across America to gather American manifestations of the Old Gods of ancient mythology to prepare for a battle against the New American Gods.

Also in the cast are Gillian Anderson as Media, Bruce Langley as the Technical Boy, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis, Crispin Glover as Mr. World, Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith, Peter Stormare as Czernobog, Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy, Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis, and Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya.

The highly-anticipated new series will debut sometime in 2017. Michael Green is also a co-showrunner alongside Fuller.
