The final trailer of the seventh episode of 'Star Wars' movie series was viewed more than 112 million times online in the first 24 hours.

AceShowbiz - The latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" final trailer was viewed more than 112 million times online in 24 hours, according to a post from Lucasfilm on StarWars.com. If it is combined with 16 million audiences that watched the trailer on "Monday Night Football", the trailer garnered a total of 128 million views.

The first teaser, which debuted on November 28, 2014, hit 55 million views in its first 24 hours and 110 million views in its first 12 days. The second trailer, which was shown in April at Star Wars Celebration, got 88 million views in the first 24 hours and 145 million in the first week.

The film also broke some other records as numerous ticket sellers reported that "The Force Awakens" had record-breaking pre-sales. It was said that the new "Star Wars" movie had the biggest-ever 24 hours for advance sales in numerous countries, including the U.K., in which more than 200,000 tickets were sold in the first day of pre-sales.

After the trailer was shown, many die-hard fans expressed their excitement by making discussions, reaction videos and even fun memes. Those actions reflected fans' enthusiasm which can help the film reach a super massive success.

"The Force Awakens" is directed by J.J. Abrams. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reprise their roles as Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and Pricess Leia respectively. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are also in the cast of the sci-fi movie which is slated for a release in the U.S. on December 18.
