CMA Awards 2014: Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert Among Early Winners

During 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday morning, November 5, the duo were announced as the winners in Musical Event of the Year category for their duet 'We Were Us'.

AceShowbiz - Some winners of the 2014 Country Music Association Awards were revealed ahead of the ceremony held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The first trophies were handed to Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley during "Good Morning America" on Wednesday morning, November 5.

Urban and Lambert were named the winners of Musical Event of the Year for their duet "We Were Us". The track from Urban's "Fuse" album bested competitors like "Meanwhile Back at Mama's" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and "Somethin' Bad" by Lambert and Carrie Underwood.

Bentley, meanwhile, won Music Video of the Year for his "Drunk on a Plane". The visuals was directed by Wes Edwards.

Other winners would be announced during the ceremony, which kicked off on Wednesday evening with some performances including from Meghan Trainor who was joined by Lambert to sing the hit "All About That Bass" together. Lambert later returned to the stage when her "Automatic" won Single of the Year.
