AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande made special appearances during the 2014 Country Music Association Awards. Trainor was one of the performers who opened the festivities held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday night, November 5.

After Kenny Chesney sang his "American Kids", Trainor appeared with Miranda Lambert to perform her massively successful hit single "All About that Bass". The two ladies were backed by a band and some vocalists as they sang and danced on the stage.

Later that night, Little Big Town performed their single "Day Drinking" before introducing Grande. Sporting her signature ponytail, silver two-piece dress and matching heels, the former Nickelodeon star was joined by the country group to sing "Bang Bang", which originally features Jessie J and Nicki Minaj.

Trainor and Grande weren't the only ones that collaborated with other acts at the event. Loretta Lynn came as a surprise guest during Kacey Musgraves' set. The duo sounded great singing the veteran singer's 1971 single "You're Looking at Country". Ashley Monroe, wearing a tiny sparkly mini dress, hit the stage with Blake Shelton for an amazing duet of "Lonely Tonight".

Other performers at the 2014 CMAAs included Lady Antebellum who sang their "Bartender", Jason Aldean who burned down the stage with "Burnin' It Down", host Carrie Underwood who delivered a live rendition of her hit "Something in the Water" and Luke Bryan who performed his "Roller Coaster". Lambert made another appearance on the stage as she played her song "Smokin' and Drinkin' ".
