O'Brien and his TBS show's guest Arnett broke the news of Williams' passing to the audience during the taping, saying, 'We're just processing this information literally right at this moment.'

AceShowbiz - Conan O'Brien gave Robin Williams a tribute during the taping of his show on Monday night, August 11. The show's host, his sidekick Andy Richter and their guest Will Arnett only learned of the sad news during the filming and they later broke the news to the audience.

"We tape these shows a few hours early, and by the time you see this now on TV, I'm sure that you'll know. I'm sorry to anybody in our studio audience that I'm breaking this news - this is absolutely shocking and horrifying, and so upsetting on every level," said O'Brien who seemingly was loss at words.

Arnett, who played with the beloved actor in "RV", was emotional as he remembered his former co-star. "As funny as he was - he's truly one of the all-time greats - he was even better as a person. He was even more fantastic - just the loveliest, sweetest, one of the kindest guys that I've ever worked with. Just such a soft, warm, emotionally sweet guy, and it's a major, major loss for everybody," he shared.

"We're just processing this information literally right at this moment, and so we are thinking of Robin's family. We're thinking about everybody who he touched around the world, throughout his life. We're thinking about Robin tonight. There's really not much else to say," the show's host added.

Williams passed away on Monday at the age of 63 in suspected suicide. He was found unresponsive in his home in Tiburon, California and was pronounced dead at 12:02 P.M. President Obama has offered his condolences while celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Steve Martin and Miley Cyrus took to social media to mourn the death.
