'Walking Dead' and 'Breaking Bad' Land Multiple Prizes at 2014 Saturn Awards

The two AMC series take home three awards each, while NBC's shows 'Hannibal' and 'Revolution' share the top honor as the Best Network Television Series Release.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films honored the best TV and movie works in the genres at the 40th annual Saturn Awards on Thursday, June 26. "It's like Comic-Con meets a Bar-Mitzvah," said host Jeff Ross when opening the ceremony at the Castaway Starlight Ballroom in Burbank, California.

Leading the TV nominees with five, "" came home as a big winner and so did "". Both shows nabbed three gongs each with the former being named Best Television Presentation of a Limited Run Series and the latter dubbed Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series.

"Walking Dead" helped its stars and land Best Supporting Actress nod and Best Performance by a Younger Actor title respectively. of "Bad" nabbed the Best Actor prize and the show's guest star Robert Forster won one for his performance on the crime drama series.

"" and "", which both air on NBC, shared the top honor as Best Network Television Series Release. "Hannibal" additionally had one of its lead actors, , chosen as Best Actor.

of "" landed the Best Actress prize, while "" was chosen as the Best Youth-Oriented Television Series. Malcolm McDowell, whose acting credits include Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" and Nicholas Meyer's "Time After Time", was presented with the Life Career Award.

In movie field, Alfonso Cuaron's sci-fi flick "" led the pack with five awards.
