'The Good Wife' and 'Fargo' Dominate 2014 Critics' Choice TV Awards Nominations

The CBS drama, the FX dark comedy as well as 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Masters of Sex' and 'The Normal Heart' score five nominations each.
'The Good Wife' and 'Fargo' Dominate 2014 Critics' Choice TV Awards Nominations

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association has announced the nominees for the fourth annual Critics' Choice Television Awards. Dominating the list are CBS' "" and "", FX's "", Showtime's "" and HBO's "" with five apiece.

"Good Wife" and "Masters of Sex" are vying for Best Drama Series. Their competitors include the critically acclaimed "", "" and "". These two shows also have its stars and respectively battling it out against (""), (""), ("") and ("") for the best drama actress title.

In best drama actor category, Emmy Award winner ("Breaking Bad") is pitted against (""), ("Bates Motel"), ("True Detective"), ("The Americans") and ("Masters of Sex").

"Fargo", meanwhile, scores its nominations in Best Miniseries, Best Actor in a Movie or Miniseries ( and ), Best Supporting Actor in a Movie or Miniseries () and Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Miniseries (Allison Tolman). The dark comedy will fight against ": Coven", "", "", "The Hollow Crown" and "" in the Best Miniseries category.

"Big Bang Theory" is nominated for Best Comedy Series along with "", "", "", "" and "". It additionally helps earn a nod in best comedy actor category.

Best Actress in a Comedy Series, in the meantime, sees a stiff competition between ("Veep"), (""), (""), ("") and ("").

Network-wise, FX leads the pack with a total of 19 nominations, followed by HBO with 18.

The winners of this year's Critics' Choice TV Awards will be announced in a ceremony which airs live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel Thursday, June 19 at 8/7c on The CW. will be hosting the event.
