The 'American Idol' judge becomes the first female artist to be honored with the Icon award, while the former NSYNC member takes home 7 awards including the Top Artist and Top Male Artist.

AceShowbiz - The 2014 Billboard Music Awards came to a close after Jennifer Lopez was presented with the Icon award. She got emotional and thanked everyone who had worked with her over the years when accepting the award, saying, "I don't know if I could have done it without you."
Before Lopez got honored with the award, Ricky Martin and Ellie Goulding hit the stage together to introduce a video featuring stars like Taylor Swift, Harry Connick Jr., Britney Spears and Rihanna praising the "American Idol" judge.
The Latin singer then rocked the stage with the first live performance of her new single called "First Love".
Lopez is not the only act who had a big night at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. Justin Timberlake came out as the biggest winner at the awards show, which was aired live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The former NSYNC member, who was overseas and couldn't make it to the event, dominated the full winners list as he won seven awards including Top Artist and Top Male Artist. His latest album, "The 20/20 Experience - The Complete Experience" was also named Top R&B Album and Top Billboard 200 Album.
Following Timberlake was Imagine Dragons. The Las Vegas band, who also served as a performer at that night's event, bagged five awards including Top Duo/Group, Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Rock Artist. Their "Night Visions" album was also announced as a winner in Top Rock Album category. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams, Robin Thicke and T.I. scored four wins each.
Other notable winners included Katy Perry (Top Female Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist), Lorde (Top New Artist and Top Rock Song for "Royals"), Miley Cyrus (Top Streaming Artist and Top Streaming Song for "Wrecking Ball") and Eminem (Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album for "MMLP2").
