'Hunger Games', 'Divergent' and 'Thor' Up for Best Character at 2014 MTV Movie Awards

Katniss Everdeen, Tris, Loki, Khan, and Veronica Mars are vying for Golden Popcorn as Favorite Character at the 23rd annual event.

MTV Movie Awards reveals an additional nomination, days ahead of its 23rd annual ceremony on April 13. The category is Favorite Character which winner will be determined via fans' hashtag-votes on social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Vine.

The candidates are "" heroine Katniss Everdeen (), "" female lead Beatrice "Tris" Prior (), "" title character (), "" nemesis Loki (), and "" main baddie Khan ().

The voting starts April 1 and continues until the live telecast. Fans can write #votekatniss, #votetris, #voteveronicamars, #voteloki, or #votekhan to help their favorite character win the Golden Popcorn which will be awarded at the event at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
