Phaedra Parks' Husband Apollo Nida Caught Attacking Co-Star on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'
Hot on heels of his fraud charges, Apollo Nida's other unflattering act was caught on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" camera. In the January 26 episode of the reality show, the husband of Phaedra Parks was seen attacking Kenya Moore's friend Brandon DeShazer.
The fight started during what Nene Leakes called "pillow talk." When a question about "How well do you know your mate?" was asked, Natalie Williams' husband Christopher hit back at Kenya for saying in the previous outing that Chris often referred to his wife as his "girlfriend" or "common law partner."
"I don't know what medication you're on...," he told Kenya, who quickly reacted with her own diss. Kenya's friend Brandon came to her defense and things got heated. Apollo then jumped in, initially appearing as if he wanted to separate the two men, but he ended up beating up Brandon, who now claims to have suffered broken ribs from the incident.
Off-screen, Apollo has faced charges for bank fraud and identity theft. He allegedly created fake companies to access various databases to get information about people whose identities he stole. He's said to have opened fake bank accounts under those individuals' names and funneled stolen U.S. Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into those accounts.
Apollo turned himself in to the authorities on January 24 and has appeared in federal court. He's released on $25,000 bond.
Kenya later took to Twitter to comment on Apollo's legal problem. "Losers never win. I have always seen through ppl and I was the first to tell you last season about these ppl and who they really are. #dirty," she tweeted over the weekend.
She also slammed Phaedra, writing, "She used a national platform 2 spread disgusting lies about me. She knew what she was doing and last season 2. Thank god ppl see the truth of who all these people are and their transparent reasons of defense #nobodybelievesu #urnotastardealwithit."
Fellow cast member Cynthia Bailey, meanwhile, apologized for the physical fight between Apollo and Brandon. "I want to apologize on behalf of the whole cast, because it was really hard to watch this fight," she said on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live".
"I've been on this show for four years and never, ever in the history of the whole show has anyone laid hands on each other," she continued. "I didn't like it. I didn't think it was a good look, and it was unfortunate because we were having a really great time until the fight."
