Agatha Christie's Mystery Book 'Murder on the Orient Express' Gets Movie Remake

Top-notch producers Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon are officially on board to do the remake for Fox.

AceShowbiz - A new "Murder on the Orient Express" movie is in the works. The original film based on Agatha Christie's novel of the same title was released in 1974. It got multiple Oscar nominations and helped Ingrid Bergman win Best Supporting Actress.

Fox has just gained movie rights to the classic book. Powerhouse producers Ridley Scott, Simon Kinberg and Mark Gordon are involved in the upcoming remake.

The story focuses on detective Hercule Poirot investigating the murder of a passenger on an outbound train from Istanbul. No writer and cast have been announced for the project.

Scott is currently busy filming Moses movie "Exodus" starring Christian Bale for Fox. Kinberg has just signed a new deal with the studio with plans on expanding the "X-Men" universe. Gordon, meanwhile, is working on a new Narnia movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair".
