The TV doctor is preparing to be a first-time father to his and wife Aryn Drake-Lee's forthcoming child.

AceShowbiz - Actor Jesse Williams and his real estate broker wife Aryn Drake-Lee are expecting their first child together, a year after they got married in Los Angeles in September 2012. The baby would arrive in December, said a source close to the "Grey's Anatomy" star who plays Mercy West surgeon Dr. Jackson Avery on the long-running medical drama series.

The 32-year-old Williams and 33-year-old Drake-Lee first met when Williams was still working as a school teacher in New York. They dated for more than five years before they walked down the aisle in an intimate ceremony. By then, Williams was already working on his TV acting career, appearing in episodes of "Law & Order", "Greek", and "Beyond the Break".

Williams' persistence began to pay off in October 2009, when he was cast for his recurring role on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy". In a little less than a year after that, he officially became a regular on the hit series and soon after that he was already being ranked among TV's sexiest men.

The impending birth of his first baby is sure to be another event that will put Williams on cloud nine again, similar to the excitement he felt during his wedding last year, where a guest described him as "beaming with joy." As he and his wife wait for a couple more months, they've already started preparing for the baby's arrival, with a baby shower already done last September 29 in Brooklyn, New York.
