The 'Voice' host moves from 'Last Call' to the NBC morning show where he will serve as host of new Orange Room digital space.

AceShowbiz - "Today" big family welcomes Carson Daly. The television and radio personality will leave "Last Call with Carson Daly" to join the morning show where he lands a full-time gig as the host of The Orange Room, a new digital studio.
"For over a decade now, NBC has allowed me to grow and delve further into live broadcasting and producing, and I am so grateful for these opportunities," Daly says in a statement. "I'm thrilled to be joining the talented team at 'Today'."
Daly, who also hosts "The Voice", will still be part of "Last Call" as an executive produce and may have a role in picking his successor.
Before his transition is made public, the 40-year-old told Today.com, "When I got the call about being permanently on TODAY and launching the Orange Room, it was like a dream come true. You know that scene in 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory', where Charlie peels back the wrapper and finds the golden ticket? I felt like I got the golden ticket."
The Orange Room and Daly's inclusion are not the only changes to be seen on "Today". On Monday, September 16, the show will debut a new set, including an anchor desk which sits on a turntable that can rotate 360 degrees, allowing the anchors to open the show looking out at the plaza crowd. Weatherman Al Roker also gets an 82-inch LED touchscreen as his new toy.
The show also has a new logo that resembles a sunrise rather than the rainbow-like one it now uses.
NBC News president Deborah Turness says the show now has a more focused direction, "We are a news show. The No. 1 reason (viewers) tune in to our show is to find out what's going on in the world. It's about setting the agenda and getting the exclusives. We can do this better than anyone else."
