AceShowbiz - Robin Quivers revealed that she had been battling cancer for 15 months. Quivers announced during Howard Stern's show on XM Sirius radio on Monday, September 9 that doctors found the cancer in the endometrial tissue in her uterus and she underwent various treatment to fight the disease. Thankfully, her doctors said three months ago that she was "cured."

"It was so huge that it was lying on all the organs in my pelvis, and they literally had to scrape it off when they got to it," Quivers told listeners of her surgery which took place in May, as quoted by Us Weekly. "They couldn't even figure out how to operate at one point because it was so massive," she explained, adding that the surgery took 12 hours.

Quivers said that she underwent two surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy to fight the cancer. Although she was under treatment, the 61-year-old radio host continued to broadcast at home and only missed two shows. "It never occurred to me not to be on the air. When I was on the air, I was pain-free," she revealed.

Stern recalled his reaction after learning that his sidekick was battling the disease, saying, "I gotta be honest, I thought she was a goner." The "America's Got Talent" judge even thought of arranging funeral. "I'll tell you how serious this was: I was already making funeral arrangements. Not to make light of this situation - I didn't know what was going on. I was freaking out," he said.
