Disney's 'Frozen' Debuts First Clip
Movie

The video for the Kristen Bell starrer gives a look at the Snow Queen's blizzard-like power.

AceShowbiz - First clip of Walt Disney Pictures' "Frozen (2013)" has been dropped on the web. The latest video still gives fans a look at Anna, Kristoff and snowman Olaf as the three are seen trying to avoid serious harm done by a scary-looking snow monster. However, the scene stealer goes to Elsa, the snow Queen who shows off her blizzard-like power near the end of the clip.

Elsa is voiced by Tony Award winner Idina Menzel. In the story, her icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter, and this is what her sister, Kristen Bell's Anna, tries to put an end to. During its presentation at Disney's D23 expo on Friday, August 9, the "Veronica Mars" actress talked about her character.

Bell said she wanted to make Anna "awkward and weird, like me." She added, "Maybe she talks too much, and she wears her heart on her sleeve." Jennifer Lee, who directs the upcoming animation with Chris Buck, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that they both aimed to make the film "timeless and timely."

"We just kept pushing to make sure there are themes in this movie that make it relatable," said Lee, who also serves as screenwriter in the project.

Loosely based on Hans Christian Anderson's "The Snow Queen", "Frozen" is also supported by Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Josh Gad (Olaf). It is set to open on November 27 in the U.S.
