AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has broken a new sales record in the U.S.. His 2010 hit single, "Baby", has been certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America and become the highest-selling album in the country's history. The Ludacris-assisted track received the honor after going 12 times Platinum and racking up 3.9 million track sales.

According to Inquisitr, the Diamond status was given to "Baby" after RIAA made the change to include streaming in their certification. With more than 876 million views on VEVO and millions of Beliebers across the universe who stream the track, Diamond status is not an impossible achievement for Bieber.

Proud manager Scooter Braun presented Bieber with his Diamond Award during the singer's concert at Prudential Center, New Jersey, on Wednesday night, July 31. "I met Justin when he was 12, and through all the good times and the hard times he has stayed positive and worked hard for all of you," he told the crowd at the venue.

Bieber received his award, hugged his manager and said to his fans, "Well, first and foremost I want to thank all my Beliebers in the audience tonight." He added, "Second of all, I want to thank all my Beliebers at home. I want to thank my mum for always believing in me."

Bieber later took to Twitter to thank Beliebers around the world. "Amazing night and honored. So much more to do. I love my #Beliebers . Thank u!!" he wrote.
