The 'Hot Fuzz' actor is the latest actor who bids adieu to his character in 'The Hobbit' after Evangeline Lilly, Ian McKellen and Orlando Bloom.

AceShowbiz - Another actor has done filming his part for "The Hobbit: There and Back Again", the third and final installment in "The Hobbit" movie series. After Orlando Bloom who celebrated his final day as Legolas with a goofy video, it is now Martin Freeman who waves goodbye to his fan-favorite character, Bilbo Baggins. Director Peter Jackson once again took to Facebook to announce the news.

"Tonight Martin Freeman finished his last shot as Bilbo Baggins. The end of an incredible two and a half years. I cannot imagine anyone else in this role - a character that Martin has nurtured and crafted with love and great skill," Jackson gushed over the English actor, who is also best known for his portrayal of Dr. Watson on "Sherlock".

Jackson continued, "We have said goodbye to our elves, humans, wizards and now the hobbit. We now enter our final 2 weeks of pick-ups, and it's wall to wall dwarves. These pick-ups have been gruelling and intense, but I'm so happy with what we've been shooting. These next two movies are going to be pretty great!"

Before "There and Back Again" makes its way out onto theaters in 2014, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" will be launched first on December 13.
