A Chicago nightclub earns citation from the authorities after the operators allowed underage Bieber inside the 21-and-over establishment.

AceShowbiz - Authorities have taken action against a Chicago nightclub for allowing underage Justin Bieber to enter the establishment. A spokesperson for the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection said on Thursday, July 11, "The ticket was issued by the police to Bodi Nightclub for admitting and knowingly having underage persons in the establishment."

"Typically the fine for a ticket like this would be $1,000.00, but the fine is not determined until the case is heard by a hearing officer and if the establishment is found liable for the violation," the spokesperson added. A date for the hearing has not been set. Bieber, however, is not likely to go to the hearing.

The nightclub released a statement to TMZ that confirmed Bieber's presence in the 21-and-over establishment. "On Tuesday night, Justin Bieber made a brief appearance at Bodi to support his close friend, DJ Tay James, who was performing at Bodi that evening," the statement read.

Bodi night club explained that the 19-year-old Bieber "was not served any alcoholic beverages while at Bodi" and insisted that "neither Justin nor anyone affiliated with Bodi broke any laws." They added, "We believe this matter amounts to a simple misunderstanding with local police officers. We have requested a meeting with Chicago's local liquor control commissioner and look forward to resolving the situation quickly."

Earlier this week, police officers stopped by Bodi nightclub after being tipped off that the underage "Baby" singer and his friends allegedly drank alcohol in the club. Bieber reportedly was forced to leave.
