While his show 'Touch' won't return for a third season, Kiefer Sutherland could reprise his role as Jack Bauer on the hit real-time drama, '24'.

AceShowbiz - FOX has pulled the plug on Kiefer Sutherland's "Touch" after two low-rated seasons. Sources have confirmed the cancellation although the network remains mum on the report. FOX is expected to make the news official during its upfront presentation to advertisers on Monday, May 13 in New York.

"Touch" generated buzz leading to its January 2012 premiere due to the inclusion of Sutherland in the cast. After drawing a huge 12 million viewers in its debut, the drama series gradually dropped in ratings. The show was moved to Fridays this year and its sophomore season has averaged only 3.8 million total viewers so far.

The bad news aside, Sutherland's fans can expect him to reprise his role as Jack Bauer from the long-running hit series "24". Reports say FOX is now in talks to bring back the real-time drama as a limited series.

A network spokesperson says the news is "speculation," while so-called insiders claim the talks are still early. However, if the revival indeed comes true, longtime executive producer Howard Gordon, who is now executive producing Showtime's "Homeland", will return with the show.
