AceShowbiz - Today's crop of country music stars shared top nominee billing at the 2013 CMT Music Awards nominations announced on Monday, May 6. Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan and Eric Church all bagged four nominations each going into the fan voting on the CMT website that will determine the winners on the June 5 ceremony that will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
All three of them are vying for the Video of the Year award, competing with nine other artists. Both Church and Bryan are pitted against Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Hunter Hayes for the Male Video of the Year, while Lambert is up for the Female Video the Year award along with other nominees that include Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood.
First-time nominee Florida Georgia Line landed three nods together with Aldean, Chesney and veteran country music group Rascal Flatts. More artists got two nominations apiece mostly Video of the Year nominees like Swift, Underwood, Hayes, Jana Kramer and Kacey Musgraves plus other top acts as Brad Paisley, Little Big Town, Journey and Tim McGraw.
Aldean along with actress Kristen Bell will host the live telecast airing at 8 P.M. ET/PT on CMT. Voting for all categories is open until June 2 to determine the winners including the shortlist for the Video of the Year award, for which another round of voting will be done during the show to select the final winner.
