Hilaria Thomas announces the good news that she's pregnant with Alec's baby as she excitedly enthuses, 'It was a surprise, a wonderful surprise.'

AceShowbiz - It is confirmed, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Thomas are expecting their first child together. After weeks of swirling speculations about Hilaria's pregnancy, the couple finally announced the happy news when appearing together on "Extra" recently.
"We're having a baby," an all smiles 28-year-old Hilaria shared the exciting news as she sat next to her husband. "It was a surprise, a wonderful surprise." Alec, looking equally happy as his yoga instructor wife, went on sharing how they first found out about the pregnancy.
"There's a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved if there's a spider in the house, not exaggerating," the 54-year-old thesp recalled. "Normally, I will be reading a book. We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to relax and unwind, and sometimes, once a month, you hear 'Ahh, Alec, Alec!' I come upstairs, and there's a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider."
Beaming Hilaria chimed in, "It was followed by 'I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!' " She said, "He runs up the stairs and I'm holding it [the test pack] and showing it to him." Alec added, "It really is the most amazing thing. I'm lucky."
Reports that Hilaria and Alec are expecting their first bundle of joy started swirling in January when a source told In Touch, "Hilaria has told only really close friends and family she is pregnant, only a close circle she tursts."
The source added, "They are both so excited and Alec is so in love with her. She says she is so in love with Alec and he tells all her friends that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him."
Alec, who is 26 years more senior than Hilaria, started dating the yoga instructor in the summer of 2011. The twosome then moved from the Upper West Side to Greenwich Village later that August before eventually getting engaged in April 2012. They got married at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in New York City on June 30 last year.
The couple's first baby is due this summer. This will be Hilaria's first child and Alec's second one. The actor already has a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage with actress Kim Basinger.
