Jennifer Lawrence Disses Fellow Oscar Nominees and Tommy Lee Jones in 'SNL'

January 20, 2013 (11:53 am) GMT
The 'Silver Linings Playbook' lead female star also spoofs 'The Hobbit' and her own film 'The Hunger Games' on 'Saturday Night Live'.

's first-time visit to "" as a host is full of dated topics. In an opening monologue, the actress, who won Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy at Golden Globe Awards, roasts fellow Best Actress nominees of Academy Awards, which will be held in a few weeks.

She says of "" actress , "Jessica Chastain? More like Jessica ain't winning an Oscar on my watch." She continues to poke fun at "" lead female , "You were in The Impossible. You know what else is impossible? You beating me on Oscar night."

The "" actress then targets "" 9-year-old star , "What you talkin' about Wallace? The alphabet called. They want their letters back." Of "" star , she says, "An 85-year-old French lady. Yeah. I think I can take you."

In the opening segment, Lawrence also manages to take a dig at another fellow actor . She calls him "the most fun person" she's ever met at the Golden Globes before the camera contradics her statement by showing a smile-less sitting among the crowd mirroring Jones' stony expression.

She later appears in a number of sketches including hinting at bisexuality on "Girlfriends Talk Show", playing an unhelpful waitress on "Johnny Two Tones", channeling her inner obnoxious radio host on "Richard and the Buffalo", and traveling to Middle East in a skit that shows what happens if "The Hobbit" gets super long.

Not only does the actress diss others but she also makes fun of herself in a parody of her own movie "". She faces some questions from the press in a faux post-game press conference. Droopy-eyed Peeta () sits quietly next to her as no one has any questions for him.

One ill-prepared journalist asks if she had a chance to speak to the other contestants on the games, oblivious of what The Hunger Games actually is. Making a reference to 's recent admission of guilt, another quizzes her if she used PEDs or if Peeta used performance-reducing drugs in the competition.

The Armstrong topic gets another treatment with playing the disgraced cyclist. He apologizes but doesn't seem to mean it. When his sincerity is questioned, he yells, "Who said that? Who? They're fat b***hes!" before adding, "A lot of the reason I just yelled was because of the cancer I had, which is not an excuse, unless you think it is."

The hoax death of Manti Te'o's "girlfriend" is also spoofed. Bobby Moynihan plays the Notre Dame star, saying, "The sad fact is, I was the victim of a cruel and senseless hoax. It's even more devastating for my girlfriend, Lennay." Although he has been informed that Lennay is a product of fabrication, he still doesn't get it. "Lennay is gonna be pissed," he adds.

's coming out speech at the Golden Globes also gets highlighted in the variety show. In between the sketches, perform their singles. They deliver chart-busting song "Hey Ho" in the first set and return to the stage for "Stubborn Love" later.
