In addition to the renewal, some tidbits from the remaining episodes of season 2 are shared during the panel on Thursday, July 12.

AceShowbiz - MTV made use of its panel at San Diego Comic-Con to announce the renewal of "Teen Wolf". The network revealed it has ordered a third season of the drama series, which will consist of 24 episodes instead of just 12 episodes like the previous two seasons.

In a statement, David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming, said, "Teen Wolf represents a terrific foray into the scripted world for the millennial MTV audience, and marks tremendous success in the continued diversification of our schedule. Renewing the show for a third season celebrates the creative vision of Executive Producer Jeff Davis and the remarkable talent of the cast who bring this bona fide fan favorite to life."

Also at the panel that took place Thursday, July 12 afternoon, the cast dished on what to expect next in the upcoming episodes of season 2. Talking about his character's fate, Colton Haynes gushed, "Jackson's still going to continue to raise hell with everybody."

"This has just brought him to the next level. Hopefully he'll maybe make the transformation into a wolf, or something else will come along and he'll move up the food chain," the actor said before jokingly adding, "Maybe an elephant. Maybe a rabbit. A bunny."

In order to hunt the Kanima, Argent will interrogate his daughter Allison. Praising her alter ego, Crystal Reed said, "Allison has some werewolf hunter skills. She's about to get really really bada**, which I'm really excited about."

On the dating side, Scott will suggest that his girlfriend Allison see another guy, Matt, to keep their relationship a secret. Meanwhile, amidst the hunt for the Kanima, Jackson, Erica and Isaac will show their moves in an upcoming episode, but the tension soon gets higher when a dangerous confrontation erupts on the dance floor.

"Teen Wolf" airs every Monday at 10/9c on MTV.
