July 6, 2012 (3:24 am) GMT
As Jessica shares wisdom with Tara about a life as a vampire, Bill learns the bad news that he and Eric are given a deadline to find Russell Edgington.

New scenes from "" have been shared ahead of the show's return later this week. One of the newly released clips highlights the bond that occurs between Jessica and Tara as the former gives the latter advice on adjusting to vampire life.

In another snippet, Jessica's maker Bill is racing with time to find Russell Edgington. While he's on the road with Eric, the vampire king of Louisiana is informed through the phone that they have until dawn to complete their mission before they're sentenced to their true death.

To probe for clues on Russell's hiding place, Bill and Eric enlist Sookie, but Alcide eventually joins them in the search. Two other guys, Patrick and Terry, are also in danger as they are held hostage in the bunker of their Iraq War buddy Brian Eller.

Titled "Let's Boot and Rally", the episode will air this Sunday, July 8 at 9 P.M. ET on HBO.

In a recent interview with TV Giude, actress Lucy Griffiths dished on Lilith, who will appear on the show later this season. "I can tell you she is bloody powerful," she teased before adding, "She is very powerful and very seductive. She thinks the weaker you are, the more easily she's got you in her grasp. There are so many characters in the Authority for her to have an effect on. How people do respond and how everybody reacts to that, their actions are dictated by how powerful she is."

Asked whether Lilith's arrival would be a turning point in the war between the vampires, the Nora depicter replied, "Yeah, all the characters realize, once you meet her, the effect that she has over people and that dictates the direction some of the characters go off in."
