Arsenio Hall is officially coming back to television with a nightly syndicated program. Following long speculation about his new gig, CBS Television Distribution announced on Monday, June 18 that the 56-year-old actor/comedian has signed up to host the yet-to-be-titled late night talk show.

"We're excited to welcome Arsenio back to the family and partnering on his new, late-night syndicated talk show," said CBSTVD president John Nogawski. "Years ago, he transcended time periods and attracted a crossover audience while bringing a fresh perspective to late night."

Nogawski added, "That same need in the market exists today as when we originally launched. We are looking forward to the same success with Arsenio's seasoned expertise and appeal in this genre." The program is set to launch on seventeen of Tribune Broadcasting's stations sometime in fall 2013.

Expressing his optimism despite the competitive field, Hall chimed in, "In the end I'm a comic, and nothing fits the talk-show mode like a stand-up comic... I know there are a lot of shows, but I think there's a space for my show."

Hall enjoyed a big success with "The Arsenio Hall Show" which debuted in 1989 and ran until 1994. The syndicated late night talk show appealed to the coveted 18-34 demographic. His sitcom "Arsenio", however, only lasted seven episodes. He recently joined the season 5 of "The Celebrity Apprentice".
