While lead actress Miranda Cosgrove plans to attend USC after the hit series is wrapped up, some other cast members will stay on Nickelodeon with new shows.

Nickelodeon has officially announced that "iCarly" will end its run after six seasons. The show, which catapulted the career of Miranda Cosgrove, will film a special television event in June and air it later in November.
"When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know," creator and executive producer Dan Schneider told TV Guide. "But I also know that in television, you don't want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are - on a creative high-note."
"I hope iCarly's legacy will be that it's a truly funny TV show that made people of all ages laugh, smile, and feel good," he added. "To the iCarly fans, I'd say, 'Thank you' a million times, for the love, support and true passion they've shown for iCarly. It's the fans that made iCarly a huge hit, and invited us into their homes on a daily basis, to entertain them."
Cosgrove, who portrays Carly Shay on the family-comedy show, plans to attend USC in the fall. Meanwhile, some other cast members have landed a new project on the network. Jennette McCurdy will star on a new live-action series from Schneider, Noah Munck is cast on a recently greenlit pilot, while Jerry Trainor lands a role on "Wendell & Vinnie" from producers Jay Kogen and Aaron Kaplan.
