During the upcoming induction ceremony, Matt Sorum and Slash might perform together with another 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Donovan.

AceShowbiz - Who is going introduce Guns N' Roses at the upcoming ceremony of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been revealed. According to Rolling Stone, Billie Joe Armstrong and the other Green Day members are added to its presenter list to induct the hard rock band at the upcoming event.
Original GNR members Slash, Duff McKagan and Steven Adler confirm they will attend the show and so does Matt Sorum. In an interview with VH1 Radio Network, Sorum hinted that he and Slash might do a collaboration with Donovan, who's also inducted this year.
"I might play drums with Donovan because I played with him one time before," he said. "And Hurdy Gurdy Man was a song he recorded that c played drums on and Jimmy Page was the guitar player. I offered Donovan that me and Slash could play that maybe, but I haven't heard back if he wants us to do it or not."
Sorum, however, revealed that another original GNR member Izzy Stradlin has chosen to skip the event. "Slash's answer to me was that he spoke to Izzy, and Izzy wasn't planning on coming. So I think that was like, if Izzy's not going to come and it's not all the original guys, then it doesn't make sense," he opened up.
Meanwhile, there's still no word whether or not Axl Rose will show up. The band's co-founder is currently touring with the new GNR lineup, but he hasn't played with Slash since 1993 and he hasn't performed with Adler since 1990.
Introducing the class of 2012, the 27th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is going to take place on Saturday, April 14 at Public Hall in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The gig will be taped for a later broadcast on HBO on May 5.
The other inductees include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Small Faces, Laura Nyro and Don Kirshner. The presenters, meanwhile, are Chris Rock, Bette Midler, Chuck D, Smokey Robinson, John Mellencamp, Carole King and Robbie Robertson.
