The Aibileen Clark of 'The Help' is set to play a military psychologist in the Gavin Hood sci-fi movie, and to star as a librarian in the Richard LaGravenese adventure film.

AceShowbiz - After receiving plenty of praises for her acclaimed role in "The Help", Viola Davis is now booked to star in not just one but two upcoming high-profile movies. Variety reported the 46-year-old actress has landed supporting roles in both "Ender's Game" and "Beautiful Creatures".
In Gavin Hood's "Ender's Game", Davis is cast as a "military psychologist" who takes care of the emotional welfare of young trainees. She also helps design the games that test the trainees' skills and resilience.
By joining the project, the South Carolina-born actress is set to star opposite "Hugo" actor Asa Butterfield and "True Grit" actress Hailee Steinfeld. Abigail Breslin, Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford are also in the cast ensemble.
Based on Orson Scott Card's novel, the movie is set in the time after the Earth is assaulted by alien and gifted children are recruited by the government to take revenge. Those kids are trained with a simulated battle game and only the best one will be chosen. Ender emerges as the chosen kid and soon he becomes Earth's best hope to defeat the alien Formic race.
In Richard LaGravenese's "Beautiful Creatures", meanwhile, Davis will tackle the part of a librarian, who treats a teenage boy like her own son after his mother's dead. The film itself is based on Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia's book that follows a pair of teenage boy and girl who must fight a curse that has haunted the girl's family for generations.
LaGravenese pens the script in addition to working behind the lens. No other actors have been tapped to star in the project, but it has been scheduled to start lensing this April in New Orleans. As for Davis, she is set to film "Ender's Game" before moving with "Beautiful Creatures".
Davis has recently won the Outstanding Female Actor awards at the 2012 SAG Awards and has been nominated for Best Actress at this year's Academy Awards, all for her role as Aibileen Clark in "The Help". She is currently developing a yet-to-be titled project for HBO along with "Pariah" director Dee Rees.
