Among the 53 contestants getting the gold ticket by the end of the post-NFL Sunday special are 26-year-old single mom Ashley Robles and 19-year-old ladies man Kyle Crews.

AceShowbiz - After finding some talents in Savannah and Pittsburgh, "American Idol" continues its search in San Diego. Airing after the Sunday, January 22 game between New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, the third episode saw 53 contestants getting the gold ticket and was highlighted by the audition of another bikini girl and Jim Carrey's daughter.

Kicking off the show was 19-year-old Jennifer Diley. Dressed in stars-and-stripes bikini top and a pair of tiny shorts, the self-proclaimed "patriot" failed to impress the judges with Jessica Simpson's "With You". Steven Tyler told her, "I think the voice lacks the fire that your get-up does." Despite her attempt to sing Mariah Carey's "Hero", she still got a "No".

The judges, however, sang a different tune when 26-year-old Ashley Robles covered Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". The single mother got Randy Jackson to say, "Very nice, very nice, very nice. That's how you audition!" and Steven to predict, "You're going to be big." All three judges agreed to send her to Hollywood.

Also getting a pass through were Jayrah Gibson and Aubree Dieckmeyer. The former delivered a soulful rendition of Musiq Soulchild's "Just Friends", while the latter sang Michael Buble's "Feeling Good". While both made bad first impressions, Dieckmeyer took it one notch ahead by telling the judges she wanted to be "America's Next Top Model".

Next to audition was Ali Shields, who got to "Idol" with the help of Ellen DeGeneres. Though she hit the sour note with her attempt at rapping, the 19-year-old redeemed herself by doing a few bars of Corinne Bailey Rae's "Just Like a Star" and got three "yes" from the judges.

Another teen singer who gained favor from the judges was Kyle Crews. The fraternity member, who is deemed a ladies man because his habit in serenading girls at school, wowed Steven, Randy and Jennifer Lopez with his version of Monica's "Angel of Mine". All three judges agreed that he was the best male voice of the day.

Also walking away with the golden ticket were Jim Carrey's daughter and Jason Hamlin. While Jane got sent to Hollywood by singing "Something to Talk About", Hamlin who is nicknamed Wolf has to sing Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" in addition to Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Midnight Special" to get his ticket.
