January 6, 2012 (1:45 am) GMT
According to Nielsen SoundScan data, the final figure of 'Stronger' shows that the album actually adds only 25,000 copies, which is 40 percent lower than that of last week.

Despite rumors to the contrary, actually did not enjoy a massive boost in the sales of her studio album "" following her Ron Paul endorsement. According to final figure released by Nielsen SoundScan this week, she sold 40% fewer compared to what she pulled in last week.

In the week that ended on Sunday, January 1, 2012, it's revealed that the winner of "" season 1 only managed to shift another 25,000 copies of her latest studio installment. In comparison, the Texan-born singer garnered a bigger sales number by raking in around 41,000 units in the week before Christmas.

The album, however, did climb several spots higher on the Billboard Hot 200. It jumped from No. 39 to No. 17, but it should be noted that the album could reach higher position partly because of the chart's quiet week. It saw reclaiming the throne with 144,000 units, which was a far cry from the last week's number.

Although the overall number of Clarkson's album dropped, it's true that its digital sales was up by 232%. Yet, it's believed that it had nothing to do with the Ron Paul endorsement, unlike the politician bragged about recently. The number increased due to the album's heavy promotion on iTunes and its lowered $7.99 sale pricing on both iTunes and Amazon.
